Green Kadota figs can be recognized by their light green outer skin that also has light yellow tones. When ripe, the Green Kadota has a complete green color and begins to drupe off the tree. Offering a more mild sweet flavor, the Green Kadota fig is famous for being the filling in Fig Newton cookies.
